In search of a modern and customer-oriented solution that increases efficiency and improves convenience for customers, EDEKA started working with Wemolo in 2019. Together, they introduced a digital parking solution that replaces traditional barriers with innovative technologies.
Camera-based parking space control: stress-free parking for customers
Wemolo has introduced camera-based parking space control at over 250 locations in order to keep parking spaces free for its own customers. The system records the license plate numbers of vehicles entering and exiting and automatically measures the parking time - without the need for parking discs or ticket inspectors. This ensures a seamless and customer-friendly solution that not only reduces administrative costs, but also cuts third-party use of parking spaces by up to 80%.

Wemolo has a solution for almost every parking space. In a non-binding conversation, we will be happy to show you what needs to be considered in your parking space. In principle, clearly identifiable entrances and exits, a power connection (230V) and good data reception (LTE/5G) are an advantage.
The license plate scanners are installed near the entrance. The exact location varies from location to location. Our license plate scanners have a range of up to 100 m and can capture a width of approx. 12 m. They can therefore be mounted on facades, lamp posts or on roofs.
Third party and long-term parkers who park their vehicles without authorization are recognized by our system and automatically receive a sanction notice.
